"Adapt-mosphere"

As a part of AATCC's annual "Concept to Consumer Student Design Competition" for students, a team of three classmates and myself was tasked with conceptualizing a mini collection of rain-wear that highlighted a textile testing method of our choosing. To further set our project apart, our team decided to create a hypothetical line of adaptive rain-wear, due to the sever lack of adaptive garments available within the fashion industry. We specialized our products to include multiple motor-related disabilities, as well as functioning for non-disabled persons. The first of my personal contributions included naming the collection, "Adapt-mosphere," as a play on the "atmosphere," since it is a rain-wear collection and "adaptive" apparel. The second major personal contribution was the adaptive jacket and adaptive skirt for persons who use wheelchairs.
