"Fourth Wave"

The culmination of my time in Louisiana State University's apparel design program has resulted in my Senior collection, "Fourth Wave." Comprised of five total looks, I began working on this collection in August 2019 and completed it in April of 2020.  This collection has progressed over seven major phases: one, the initial research and inspiration mining; two, the target market analysis and development of the consumer profile; three, the formal collection review by fellow students, department professors, and industry professionals; four, the testing grounds via the pilot garment; five, the continued exploration and development of the line through sample sew-ups in muslin; six, the final sew-ups of each look in the collection; and seven, the grand debut of the collection. ** As a disclaimer, the collection was set to debut at LSU's 14th annual Fashion Show, 2020 Vision; however, the show was cancelled due to Covid-19 regualtions. As well, the alternative plan for a legitimate, professional photoshoot was also disrupted due to these regulations. Nonetheless, I have persisted in completing my work and making it visible despite these constraints.
